Is it legal to listen to music through earbuds while bicycling on the side of the road?
I live in California, USA. I know it is important to be aware of my surroundings so I always keep the volume really low but I don't want to get a ticket for listening to music. I know its illegal in a car but not sure about bikes. please state source if you answer. Thanks.
it is illegal but why not put one earphone in and one out. I do it all the time and police turn a blind eye.

volume bikes trip to SF
Is this any way I can listen to my Ipod on a bluetooth headset for my cell phone?
When I ride my bike I use a bluetooth headset for my cell phone. I can have the phone in my backpack and just have the headset over one ear (so I'm not completely isolated from sounds around me). I'd love to do the same thing with my Ipod. It seems like I might be able to get a bluetooth transmitter for the Ipod and listen to it through the same earphone (and - maybe way out there now - use voice controls to skip, adjust volume, etc.). Any way of working this?
Not at the moment.
However you can get various bluetooth headphones, which wirelessly connect to your iPod via an included adaptor, however whether youll be able to use your cell at the same time is a different matter.
You can also get wired headphones for your iPod that double up as a bluetooth headset. They connect to your phone via bluetooth and pause your iPod when a call comes in, and there is play / pause etc buttons on a little remote bit on the wire.
Your choice, sorry I cant be of more help.
