Tooth Black Just had a tooth extraction, now the hole is turning black?
I had a tooth extraction yesterday and now the wound is turning black! Should I be worried? Is it infected? It doesn't hurt and it's not bleeding. Btw it's the upper right first premolar.
It's just the blood in the wound oxidizing. Nothing to worry about and it will go away with time.

Additionally, you can't do the job yourself because you won't be able to tell if you're getting all the decayed tooth out first. If you leave even a little, it will start to rot again. And if you remove too much of the tooth, you'll weaken it unnecessarily.
I completely agree with Lenticrow here: perception of beauty is subjective and therefore subject to being manipulated by interested parties. For example, in Vietnam, lacquered, *blackened* teeth are considered aesthetically pleasing.
