Titanium Bmx
is it possible to make a bike frame out of magnesium?
i know magnesium is light but is it strong enough to hold up as a bike frame?they make magnesium bike pedals but why nothing else?if it can hold up why hasn't any of the bmx companies thought of it?would it be expensive to manufacture like titanium?
There are a few magnesium bike frame builders out there. I've included a link to one of them. I've heard that galvanic corrosion is one problem with this material (galvanic potential between magnesium and steel/aluminum is high, resulting in accelerated corrosion at the interface).

Is this a good BMX bike or am i getting ripped off?
20" wheels (with the green slime inner-tubes)
Titanium Fork
Either Titanium or Aluminum frame
Frame from Mongoose optic
Broken or missing bearings on front wheel that I will have to get fixed
Pegs with bullet-holes on both wheels
360 degree gyro steering thing
I negotiated with him for $60. Is this a good deal? my main concern is the broken front wheel that i will have to pay to get fixed. He said he'll give me the bike for less if he puts an aluminum fork on it instead of titanium.
Also what are the best metals to use on the frame and fork? Like the lightest and strongest
$60 is decent for that, but Mongoose has sucked big time ever since they started selling them at wal-mart in the 90's. i mean, it's better than a Huffy but still. you didn't get ripped off or anything, but you should invest in something better.
