Can I put BMX levers on mountain bike bars?
Hi,
I've found some cheap brake levers on ebay..

Would these work on mountain bike handle bars as well as BMX bars? I will be using caliper brakes.
what J.M. says is correct there is a difference. But these levers have a pretty good pull on them, so they could probly be adjusted to work ok depending on what kind of shifters you're using. i've always liked tektro components. good choice!

Bmx Gyro to Straight Cable HELP!!!!?
I had a gyro but i took it off and the bike works but i dont know how to make the brakes work. Thaye are 990 Tektro U-brakes and they just dont seem to work. PLEASE HELP!! Brand new bike and i dont get it! AHHHH!

And i dont want crap answers like forget the brakes and go brakeless or ur diamondback sucks. I dont care if it sucks. I just want help with my brakes. and im not going brakeless.
Honestly this is tough to answer by writing. You'll probably have to take it to your local bike shop. The frame fittings that are welded onto your bike are designed to accept the cable housing from a gyro and going to a regular cable setup will require you buying clamp on cable housing adapters, a new brake cable, and new housing. It can be done but I can't really explain how on here. Best bet is to talk to your local bike mechanic. Good luck.
