Team Cycle In MLB, has a baseball team hit for a cycle in consecutive at bats in the same inning?
Holy Crap! thats a good question! ummm..... brb From what i found it's been done,,, but never in consecutive at bats. Example being the Yankees did it in 2007 over 4 innings they had, three singles, a Double (Cano), a triple (abreau), and a HR (Arod) over the course of 4 innings. A few teams have done that, but none in consecutive at bats that i can find.

What do you think about the 'new' Astana team being excluded from the Grand Tours in 2008?
I understand the concern of their doping issues the past 2 seasons, but a new team manager, new team members with great cycling experience and success including last years Tour de France winner - how could they exclude them?
Yes, of course it's a travesty. Not only did this team deal with the drug problems by essentially making a completely new team they hired a new manager. Doesn't this show their desire to field a clean team?
Also, they signed top notch talent including one of the best managers, TDF winner and 3rd place finisher. After all this talent is signed - they exclude them from the TDF (and other races) I've never seen another sport willing to cut their own nose off in a mis-placed attempt to punish not the guilty, but innocent athletes. It's a witch hunt.
The regular season obviously gives you a good indication of who the best teams are, but the playoffs are sometimes a little unique:
1. Some teams do not match up with others very well. So a slightly inferior team could have an advantage over a specific slightly superior team.
It's the old if A > B and B > C is A always > C?
I say NOT ALWAYS!
2. In the playoffs, many teams shorten their rotation. So the team that has the best starting 5 plus a few bench players might beat a team that was better in the regular season where 1o-12 players might be more relevant.
