Stunt Bmx Bike
What is the best BMX bike for a 8 year old?
My son has is 8th comeing up and we want to get him a BMX.
He has a double suspension mountain bike at the moment that we have put rear stumps on for him. He can do a few stunts on it but says if he had a BMX he could do more.
Any ideas on what BMX we should get him please?

Yes I know what you mean about Pegs, I call them Stumps which he has on his mountain bike, but good advice on the other stuff you have wrote.

If you want the best a mirraco project 18 is the bike for your boy but it costs almost double the price of the next contender.There are a lot of other good bikes out there which are probably better value for money but I would recommend that you get him A bike with 18 inch wheels apposed to the larger bikes which have 20 inch wheels as this size is better suited for 8 year olds. Other respectable brands which I think make 18 inch bmx bikes are Haro,GT,Easton and Redline.

What are all the differenes between a BMX and a Stunt bike?
They both seem pretty much the same to me. Also, what are the pros and cons to each bike?

There are different kinds of BMX.
There is the racing type.
Which I guess is what you mean by BMX?
This is usually made of aluminium aand is long so it has good balace in the air.
A stunt bike (or freestyle bmx) is usually shorter so tricks are easier.
They are also made of steel.
