How do you take off a BMX seat post?
Most of them that I've seen have just slid out, but mine right now gets stuck when I slide it out to the end.
The clamp isn't even on the post anymore. I took it off and then put the seat, itself, back on so I could use it for leverage.
Make sure the seat is clamped on there real tight. Put some WD40 or other lubrication on the exposed seat post. Now force and rotate the post more down into the frame by using the saddle as a lever. Now add some more lube. Pull it back up while twisting it. You can also use a screw driver as a wedge to spread open the top of the frame where the seat clamp bolt goes through.

Firstly congratulations on the birth of your baby!! What an exciting time. It can also be a very demanding time both physically and mentally. Exercise can help - it is a great stress relief, will help with recovery after the birthing process, increase your energy levels and help you get back that pre-baby body.
You will need to have your postnatal check and clearance with your doctor or medical professional before commencing any exercise program (generally 6 weeks after the birth). Don't feel pressured to start exercising, start when you are 100 % ready.
High impact exercises should be avoided. So should overloading your muscles and overstretching as tendons, ligaments and muscles are more elastic and softer during this time. Low impact exercises such as swimming and walking would be more appropriate. Do not perform too much too quickly, your body will benefit more from a gradual return to exercise. The intensity and duration of the exercise can be increased as your fitness improves. Stop immediately if you feel any pain or if you experience any bleeding.
Rehabilitating the pelvic floor should be your main focus; this can be achieved through a series of "Kegel" exercises e.g. abdominal bracing. Strengthening of the pelvic floor can start very soon after you have had your baby if you have had an uncomplicated birth. If you had a caesarean it is best to wait till you receive the green light from your health care provider. Dr Kegel created pelvic floor exercises to strengthen muscles which support the urethra, bladder, uterus and rectum.
New mothers may experience some back pain as the abdominal wall is loose and cannot support the lower back, also the upper back is affected by the weight of larger breasts and your body moving into unusual positions e.g. placing the baby seat in and out of the car, leaning forward to breast feed and nurse the baby. Again performing some pelvic floor work will help to strengthen the core and in turn the back, plus performing stretches for the chest and scapular retraction exercises will help alleviate the postural misalignment.
One of the great things about post natal exercise is that your baby can also be involved. There are many exercises that can safely include your baby under the supervision of a personal trainer in Melbourne.

Take it into your lbs. I’ve had mine pull out a couple of fused seat posts with some team work, heavier tools and good old fashioned elbow grease. To add to duncanscityride’s sentiments though – I fee like 95 percent of the time pain issues can be attributed to seat position. Get a new saddle anyway, but also get yourself properly fitted. You can do it yourself with some internet research, or you can get your lbs to do it.
