Exposure to Theatre in School Assemblies
Many years ago theatre was the only form of entertainment available to people of all ages. Going to the theatre was indeed an occasion where everyone dressed up in their finest and were on their best behavior. By arranging a theatre production during a school assembly, students will have the rare opportunity to experience the thrills and joys of the theatre environment.
Many theatre groups run educational theatre productions, which focus on different subjects included in the student's school curriculum. This should make developing a school assembly program that includes a theatre production not only fun, but educational and topical too. Students learn much faster and absorb much more information when they are engaged and involved in the learning experience. Arranging a theatre production during a school assembly will provide the students an opportunity to get involved and inspired to excel in their schoolwork.
Having a theatre production at a school assembly can also be used to reward students, parents and teachers for achieving a common goal that the school has set. The goal could be anything from raising an amount of money to getting a national school award. By recognizing and rewarding these achievements, the students, teachers and parents will be motivated to achieve even more.
When incorporating a theatre production during a school assembly program, it is important that you choose the right type of production to suit the age group of the students. If the production is aimed at the wrong age group, the students could get bored and lose interest. Hence, the event will not be successful. Ask a theatre production company for a full program to ensure that you select the perfect production for your school.
School assembly programs with theatre entertainment plays a big part will enliven, and entice students to participate and be active in the school assembly.

Their are liars, thieves and charlatans in the current HoF. I know: I worked for several of them. Steve Johnson was none of the above. The man consistently rolled the dice on unknown, unproven talent and turned those individuals into winners. More importantly, he helped the best of them grow into real people. I probably wouldn't have worked in the bike industry for the previous 31 years if the Johnson family hadn't taken a chance on a loud-mouthed kid from Florida in 1979. If Steve Johnson doesn't get into the HoF in 2010, everyone who still cares about old-school BMX should stop wasting their time with the ABA, the HoF nominating committee, and the concept in general. Seriously: what higher purpose does the institution serve, save to diefy a cadre of dinosaurs most of whom either got out while the getting was good, or slithered into the weeds when their day in the sun was over. It's been my privilege to work for TWO benevolent businessmen and BMX philanthropists during my career: George Esser and Steve Johnson. Neither man needs the endorsement of a clique to remain righteous in my book. Thanks to Michael Gamstetter for taking his quest to the masses, and thanks to all my fellow Torker alumnus for speaking on behalf of all the Johnsons.
