Mobile phone ring tone - Where can I buy just one simple ring ring tone without signing up to any contract?

My mobile does not have a simple ring ring tone and I hate the polyphonic type tones that it comes supplied with. I want to buy just one ringtone without having to sign up to those scary companies that bombard you with £3 texts 7 days a week incurring huge charges that it is difficult to get yourself out of. I live in the UK. Thanks.

THE RING (Trailer 1 / Preview 1)

What is the biggest (one whole stone) ruby ring in the world?

Does anyone know what is the biggest one whole stone ruby made jewelry, like ring, in the world?

I have a 71ctw ruby ring, got it off an auction. I wonder if it is the biggest.

Thanks!
The ruby ring is certified by GIA graduates.
The question is pertaining to a made jewelry; not necessarily a stone alone. Thanks all!

You definitely do not have the biggest ruby in the world. To answer the question, the largest is 18,696 ct, owned by 125West. The largest cut ruby is 400ctw. So yours is still piddly.

And it's highly doubtful you bought a 71 ctw ruby, especially at auction (unless it was Sothebys). A 71 ctw ruby would have mapping done and tracked carefully. It would cost a LOT. A fine quality 16 ctw ruby sold for $3.6 million. I doubt you paid that price range. Low quality throwaway rubies sell for a few dollars per carat. The only possibility is you bought a 71ctw "throwaway" ruby, in other words, one that was poorly cut and in very poor, cloudy, bad quality. It may look pretty to an untrained eye, but an expert could see it's in such poor condition it would have been scrapped.

Likely you bought a .71 ctw (less then 3/4 ct) or you bought a synthetic "ruby like" gemstone, a lab-grown ruby, or most likely, you were scammed and it's just glass. Take it to a jewelry store and they'll tell you (free). A 4 ctw low-grade ruby piece sells for a few thousand. eBay is famous for people selling large "throwaways", junk, scrap, for a few hundred or a few thousand and making people think they got a steal. Take it to a jeweler and you'll find it's worthless.

"Large rubies of quality are far more rare than large sapphires of equal quality. Indeed, any untreated ruby of quality above two carats is a rare stone; untreated rubies of fine quality above five carats are world-class pieces."

World class pieces are closely tracked. And would NOT be mailed or shipped but sent via courier. Sorry, but you got scammed.

  • Or you can bring a bag of quarters and say “Hey, how about if a real ring comes out of that machine (eventually) we get married.” Worse case scenario is she’ll have a bunch of toys along with a ring. One could argue that would be the best case scenario.
