Art replicas or reproductions??
I heard that replicas of artwork done by someone else is illegal. But I've seen many companies reproduce them as posters or on canvas. What's the difference and what part is illegal and what is not?
How do I find out when something in not protected anymore?
...I mean under copyright law
In essence a reproduction is a replica and vice versa. As far as legal matters are concerned they are the same in any case. It is the term 'for commercial purposes' that is key when replicating or reproducing a painting.
Most reproductions done by companies are no longer protected under copyright law. Or rights to reproduce were bought (should be mentioned on the reproduction)
It is only illegal to reproduce for commercial purposes if they are still protected under copyright.
Passing them of as originals is always a crime.
There is also the matter of the country they are produced. There is no international law for copyright. What is legal in one country may be illegal in the other. Shipping those paintings is another matter again.

What is a Reproductive Endocrinologist?
Millions of couples struggle with infertility. You’ve probably chosen to work with your family doctor and/or your obstetrician/gynecologist. It may be time to take that next step. Finding a reproductive endocrinologist that’s right for you can greatly increase your chances of bringing a child into the world.
A reproductive endocrinologist is a medical doctor that specializes in infertility issues and reproductive disorders. A reproductive endocrinologist is commonly referred to as an infertility specialist. These doctors will work closely with you on diagnosing possible causes of your infertility. They will help you decide which fertility treatments may be right for you. In order to become a reproductive endocrinologist, a doctor must not only complete his or her residency in gynecology and obstetrics, but must complete at least two to three more years of training in reproductive endocrinology. A fertility specialist should have a lot more skill and training in infertility issues than your regular OB/GYN or family practitioner, and can help you get on your way down that road to fertility and growing your family.
Choosing your reproductive endocrinologist should be a decision not taken lightly. You need to find someone that is qualified, of course, but also you need someone that you like and get along with. This is a person that you will be working very closely with. You will build a personal relationship together and share a lot over the course of your treatment. Finding someone that you like is an important factor in your success. Stress can cause fertility problems by itself. Find someone that is compassionate, kind, caring and patient. Going through infertility treatment can be stressful on its own, so having a reproductive endocrinologist that is understanding of your situation and mental state can be very helpful.
Ask around when choosing your infertility specialist. Many people struggle with infertility, and chances are that your friends and family may have someone that they would like to recommend. Also ask your doctor or OB/GYN for referrals. Patients have most likely relayed useful information to them about their experiences with different reproductive endocrinologists in your area. You may choose to visit or interview each one that you are considering. If you choose, you can ask for patient or doctor testimonials to see what people are saying about each specialist that you are visiting.

Dr Eric Daiter has a way of adding a personal touch in addition to his medical expertise. While I was waiting for the anesthesiologist prior to my hysteroscopy/laparoscopy, Dr Daiter stopped by to see me. Even though I was certain that these procedures needed to be performed, I was quite nervous since it my first surgery under anesthesia. Dr Daiter’s visit made me feel that he really cared about my well being. While speaking to me, he gently placed his hand on my arm and reassured me that everything would be fine. He then proceeded to humor me with a few jokes. My husband was also quite impressed by Dr. Daiter’s caring nature. During my surgery my husband was instructed to wait in the waiting room of the hospital. All of the other people also waiting received a phone call to inform them that their loved one’s procedure was done. Dr Daiter personally met my husband in the waiting room to notify him that my surgery was completed safely, and I would soon be in the recovery area. He also took time to explain his findings during my surgery and his opinion of what we could expect in the near future. While I was in recovery, several hours after my surgery, Dr Daiter called the nurse’s station to inquire as to how I was doing. Dr Daiter also called me at home the following day to follow up, ask how I was feeling, and answer any questions.
