From the picture, that looks just like the one that I had, although it looks like the bottom bracket is larger than what was on mine. From what I remember they had two of these on the floor when mine was purchased and one was gold, and the other blue. The stormer was the first bicycle purchased for me as a kid. It was an Ames Stormer, and from what I recall it was the cromoly with gold accents. The most unique thing about this bicycle was the top tube was much larger than the down tube, and the bottom bracket was that of a road bike (we then called it European size). It housed a 3 piece set of Maxi Cross cranks, Tuff Neck stem, and Dia Compe brakes, along with araya wheels and yellow tires. I do also remember that the seat clamp was rounded and anodized. I want to say it had Dia Compe on it, but can't remember for sure. I want to find another Ames Stormer frame like this, where do you think I can find it? My Mother still has the original receipt from back in 1980, the bicycle was purchased for $399.00. That was a lot of money back in those days.
