Are LED headlights legal in the UK, and are Xenon bulbs designed to retrofit without a conversion kit?
I would like to know if LED-equivalent bulbs that are readily available online are legal to fit as headlights in a UK car.
Also, do Xenon bulbs require a power pack or other similar conversion kit to operate in place of regular halogen bulbs in a car that was never fitted with Xenon bulbs, or can you simply perform a like-for-like swap?
as long as there white light led's then yes there legal....xenon are a swap fit

Wasn’t part of the original question either. Then, the total lifespan energy cost of a traditional bulb is way more than a CFL. If a LED fits the purpose (cabinet light in a shop, on for ten hours a day) it again beats the CFL.
