What's an average price for skip hire? Every online company i look at wants me to 'register' 2 get a quote!?
I'm planning to clear my garden & garage of various junk - from rabbit hutch & run to old toys/bikes, plus garden weeds & ant-killed plants/shrubs! Does anyone know the rough cost, what size skip would be best & is it possible to just hire the one, for all of the rubbish to go in, or would i have to hire a separate one for garden rubbish?
They probably want you to register because skips are expensive and get stolen all the time.
Just phone a couple of companies, they're happier talking than typing.
But HOLD ON THERE!
Have you heard of FREECYCLE ? Its a Yahoo group that is linked to your County/Borough and basically is a free swap shop for all your unwanted items.
Yes, you have to register (otherwise they get all kinds of weirdos)
Please try this avenue first, especially for old bikes and rabbit hutches! There are always folk with some time on their hands who will collect these items from you and spruce them up for re-use.
You'll be amazed at what will definitely go!
Give it a try and you may well save the cost of skip hire altogether!
