Information about a possible electric device?
I don't know much about engineering, but I'd like to build an electronic swordfighting simulator sort of like fencing, except the sword would be able to sense hits on the side of the sword as well as the tip. You would wear some kind of light metallic suit (aluminum foil possibly?) and when your opponent's sword hit your suit it would send a charge through it that could light up a flashing bulb on your helmet to show you were hit. As soon as the bulb lights up your sword would be deactivated, too.
so what materials would be best for making this? any suggestions about how i could build this?
The suit and the sword could be insulators with a conductor drawn of them with a conductive silver pen like this one:

For the control circuitry, a capacitive circuit could do it. The sword holds a charge that is dissipated by the opponent suit, though a circuit that triggers the flashing light.

What is the exact color of the gold on Notre Dame's football helmet?
I am getting some custom wrestling singlets made and I am having trouble finding a gold color that would look good on a singlet. The singlets are in a camouflage format. The singlets are being printed by dye sublimation and if anyone has had anything dye sublimated, the colors are mostly submitted electronically. They send me the proofs of the singlets through my e-mail and I am not very happy with the colors they are providing. I went to the ND vs U of M game this past weekend and I noticed the color gold they use is exactly what I'm looking for. It has a metallic look to it. Has anyone gone through this process before? and if so, Is there a gold color you would recommend using? Also, what colors would match with Navy Blue, Gold, and White in a camouflage setting?
