Hat Red

Catcher in the Rye - Why does Holden put on his red hunting hat after the fight with Stradlater?
In chapter 6, following Stradlater's date with Jane, Holden and Stradlater get into a fight. Holden ends up getting all bloody and lays on the floor for a short while.
Right when he gets up he puts on the red hunting hat rather than immediately addressing the injuries. Why?
Thanks.
He puts the hat on at important moments – writing the composition about Allie's baseball mitt, staring at himself in the mirror and pretending to be tough after Stradlater punches him, yelling "Sleep tight, ya morons" down the corridor, etc.

What would I wear this vintage red velvet hat with?
I found an adorable vintage red velvet slouchy sort of hat at this shop, and I can't decided if I should get it, because I don't know what I can wear it with! I only have a couple hours, lol, so any suggestions would be great!
You should ware it with any red vintage dress or a black or white dress Google it and look for dresses from that era

All 20! The last sees all hats but his. So he see 10 of one color and 9 of the other. So he knows and calls out his color.
19 left. The new 'last' peasant sees 18 hats, and knows which color the last peasant had. So he knows the color of 19 hats, and can figure out his own.
And so on and so forth. All 20 survive.
The King dies of cardiac arrest.

Ok, you changed the story. Does not change one thing though: If there are equal amounts of hats of red and blue, than I am right. If there are not the same amount of hats, then the rearmost peasant will exclaim the color of the peasant in front of him. If he is lucky, he will live, but there is no guarantee for him. The next peasant knows the color of his hat and will live. Then it starts over. Only every other peasant is guaranteed to live, that makes it 10 peasants. That answer was given before you changed the story the first time. Either way, the correct answer was given.
everyone knows it fake who doesn't? no need to say it we are not stupid no offence
