Haro Premium Bmx is it possible to change a freewheel to a cassete on a bmx and is it really worth it?
also if it is posible is it hard t do it yourself, and what difference does it realy make while riding.

i was wondering if the bike from the link i posted is good as im not surehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HARO-PREMIUM-THREE-RING-BMX-BIKE-RRP-470-WHITE-HA667-/330479081007
The bike in the link is acceptable. BTW it dose not have a "freewheel" it has a cassette driver.
The reason you want a cassette rather than a free wheel:
1) The cassette driver and hub are built together to improve strength and reliability. The freewheel is steel threaded onto aluminum... That can result in unexpected failure.
2) The cassette driver is the only way to run any less than 13teeth because minimum size is dictated by axle size. With a freewheel the minimum size is dictated by the outside dimension of the hub. To my knowledge the smallest freewheel you can get is 13teeth.
3) At this time, cassette wheels have become standard for BMX bikes because they reduce weight, increase strength, and are becoming less expensive than a freewheel setup.
