Should I get a new bike?
I got an old BMX bike, it's an Huffy enigma '02 and it fix perfectly for me, but lately I've realized that the other competitors have improved a lot and I still in the same... one of them have a '07 intense and the other one have a '06 haro... by the way, I'm talking about BMX racing, not street
The thing is that those bikes are lighter and faster, even if I practice more, they still will win against me
bike technology had grown alot in 5yrs
it will always be better to have a more advance bike for a race.
and you will get more advise from the LBS that you buy your bike from.
if you lose a race by a second just because of the bike you use, you will blame yourself for saving the money
afterall, a good bike plus a good rider win all race.

HELP! Getting into...?
Ok so im getting into bmx racing/dirt jumping. Im going to buy my first bike, the local bike shop sells Haros and Dks, the guys their dont know much about BMX(their mainly a mountian bike shop), whhat gear will I need, I know the bikes price are about 350 for the haro and 250 for the DK. I skateboard so can I use skate shoes and can a race bike be used for dirt freestyle as well?
What model DK and what model Haro are we talking about here?
Yes you can use skate shoes,I wear and use Van's,DC's,Etnies,and cheapo Mossimo shoes.There is a company that makes shoes by bmx'ers for bmx'ers called Lotek...check em out.
What do you plan on doing more,racing or dirt jumps...remember just because there are some jumps at the local track it is not the same as doing actual trails/dirt jumps.In racing most of the frames are made of aluminum,where as street/park,dirt jump/trail and flatland bikes are almost always made from 4130 chromoly where the lower end of these bikes are made from Hi-Tensile steel (much heavier the 4130 chromoly).I would not recommend doing any "REAL" dirt jump/trail riding with an aluminum race frame.Try and get a bike that is 100% chromoly,if you can't afford a 100% chromoly bike then get one where the front triangle (headtube,toptube,downtube,seat tube) are chromoly.

And even though it's labeled a street/park bike the DK Effect would be a good one too...it just depends on your budget/price range.
Also there is more to choosing the right bike like your height,weight,experience.Dirt Jump bikes tend to have longer top tube lengths then other styles of bmx bikes.The shorter the top tube the twitchier the bike will be in the air,the longer the more stable.

The first guy says the single speed pump is running at 22-23 PSI and tells “as you can see” while the cameraman films his hat. The second guy says the variable speed pump is running 15 PSI, “same as” the 22-23 PSI of the other pump. The cameraman never shows us the power meter. The joys of YouTube.
Was there a single speed Breeze? I saw one at an estate sale and I think it was a single speed. I have just bought a new bike and the Schwinn was not rideable due to flat dry roted tires, so I did not really pay alot of attention to it. Also are all the Breezes ladies bikes, are was there a mens model?
You guys rode the Moore Fun trail in these two videos, part of the Kokopelli system, a few miles west of Fruita. The lunch Loop trails are in Grand Junction, 10 or 15 miles west of where you shot this footage.
