I have a year old haro f2 bmx bike..its has the 3 piece cranks crmo sealed mechanism 175mm. Anyways i was working on these wallrides and in the process proceded to ram my pedal and crank arm into the side of the wall a couple times...after i realized that the crank turns fine until the bottom of the rotation where it binds pretty hard, and takes quite a bit of force to move by hand but when riding its better cause i have my body weight pushind down on it.
So what do u think my best bet is..repair it? or buy a new bike in a year? live with it? i'm thinking with the cost of a crank i could put that to a new bike...
haa so i guess this is mostly opionion...but best bang for my dollar? i'm a poor college student...
btw: I finally did land the wallride tho ;D
misusing my bike? i wasn't purposely ramming my crank arm into the wall, it happened because i was trying the wallride, its called cause and effect dumbass...
and next time u could actually answer my question
It kind of sounds like you bottem brackets could be jacked up they aren't really that expensive to buy a new on around 20-40 bucks for a decent one, but if you crank arm or especially the spindle that connects the two arms is bent or cranked man i would just save up for a new bike unless you want to buy a new crank there are some for alittle under 100 bucks but not the best you can get. Thats just me though. I'm just a poor air force guy who rides and builds bmx bikes on the side lol but i know where your coming from bro it is expensive.
