Unsold 1985 Haro Masters, Where were they stored all this time?

In 1985 Haro brought out the Haro Master neon green, a few years ago there was New Old Stock (NOS) 1985 Master frames being sold in bike shops. Where have these frames been for 20 odd years, and how can they be new, are they the original thing or are they reproduced or restored and sold as new again. I find it fairly hard to believe that these are NOS although I would really love to believe it. Can someone shed the light on this matter.
But where did the shops send the frames back to, and where were they stored for so long?

Your best bet is to call the seller and ask.....who knows, you might get a great conversation and learn some really interesting stuff!

My best guess is that they were held as warranty replacement items at Haro or a distributor somewhere, but who knows. You'll probably have to get it from the horse's mouth to find out the whole story. (If you do, please post back here and tell us!)

One of our local bike shops has a brand new GT LTS-1 frame from 1998. It's been sitting in the back of their shop since it was new and hot-off-the-press. They still want an insane amount of money for it, so I imagine they'll have it for another 20 years or until they decide to recycle it with the scrap metal. It's "new" and to them, it doesn't matter if it's been passed up by generations upon generations of newer, better bike designs.

I'm amazed at what I find in the back of bike shops.....there's usually some really cool stuff hiding behind the walls. At least in a few instances, the same holds true for distributors and manufacturers, and every so often they'll dump things from their dark and dusty corners onto the market. Personally, I love it when that happens. :o )

  • I don't think that you are Stereotyping

I once lived across the street from a "gay friendly" church and I'd attend services from time to time and 99% of what you said is true, from what I saw with my own eyes

I think that you should find a way to open a conversation with her
Maybe have her watch you do a move or workout part
This way she will have her eyes on you only

    OR

Compliment her on a part of her body
    See how she reacts

Just ease into things and maybe you will get a ping on your Gaydar

  • It does seem strange that their aren't any vegan cyclist hanging out around there.

There is a vegan mini-mall (vegan bakery/coffee shop, vegan clothing store, vegan grocery and a vegan tattoo shop) about a mile or two from my house and the bike rack outside are always full.

But then I guess there isn't a bike shop. Hum, the vegan bike shop is on the other side of town. Maybe they should move.

    Funny story about the puncture.

  • is there an unfunnier show on the earth?
