Which is the better bike between the 2009 GT Avalanche 3.0 Disc Mountain Bike and Forge Sawback 5xx?
I can get both bikes for similar pricing so I was just wondering which you think has better components?
Get the GT. not because it has better parts; it doesn't, but parts are upgradable. Not because it's a better frame, even though it is. Buy it because you can get it serviced from where you bought it. Cables stretch on new bikes. You'll need to get your brakes and derailleurs adjusted within a month from when you buy it. You don't want to have to pay $30 to have a shop adjust your brand new bike (Target doesn't have a shop: Kinda makes you wonder who builds them, huh?).
