Freestyle Bmx Bike Parts
can you do bmx freestyle stunts bunnyhops etc with a 31lbs mongoose mischief thats pretty crap and heavy?
my bike is kinda heavy and bulky and im wondering if i can do stuff on it i tried bunnyhops for ages and i cant do them is this me or the bikes problem and would i be safer geting a new lighter bike or get new parts for this one eg frame handle bar etc and why do people take off the brakes does it change anything cheers for the help

Its possible to do it on any bike. Back in the 90's, people bunnyhopped 2+ feet on 40+ lbs bikes. However, a lighter bike would help a little bit. However, 95% of the trick is technique.
When people take off brakes, well, it takes off the brakes! The main reason is to make barspins and tailwhips easier (No tangled cables). It doesn't remove that much weight, only a few ounces. It won't make a difference.
