I think the F-16 wouldn’t be a good deal. I would prefer it as an item in the arsenals but not a pivot for defense. they should be supplemented with other Fighters from a reliable source. the USA mistreats its clients when it falls out with them. Countries like India who wanted to procure 250 jets for its AFlead to the USA offering the F-18 super hornet plus its blue prints, which would have helped them develop the LCA, but due to the USA track records on after sale service they withdrew from the offer. the Block 40/42 will be a plus but nothing more then that. due to its capabilities, a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program would have to be forged by the USA to Kenya unlike the Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) program, which oversees sales between foreign governments and private U.S. companies. USAF FMS programs are assigned two-word codenames beginning with the word PEACE .in the FMS program the purchaser does not deal directly with the defense contractor; instead, to a Defense Security Cooperation Agency. an intermediary, usually handling procurement, logistics and delivery and often providing product support and training. FMS for the middle eastern/Arab countries (Bahrain, Egypt, U.A.E, Jordan all having the F-16) are attached to recognizing and peace treaties with Israel. The USA uses the FMS for its own political agendas. This is the trick part after Kenya ran to the East subsequently ranking low in The Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program from the USA (grants and loans to purchase weapons produced in the United States). I think Sino procurements will be tempered with the USA in the FMS deal if the country is to be give the F-16. this would be a good bargaining chip. Mambo si rahisi hivyo ndugu zanguni.
