Exactly what kinds of bad thinga happen if you put a battery by one brand in a phone by another but it fits?
I want to know why its supposedly so bad if it looks like it fits fine? Does it corrode, explode, leak, drain, what?
Cause I really doubt anything happens at all.
battreries of different brands should not be mixed mainly down to how they are made and so can not be guaranteed not to cause any damage to the device you put the battery in.
some devices are high power drain and require a specific battery type such as Alkaline or Ni-Mh. some devices can not be used with ordinary zinc chloride because the batteries do not have the mAh capacity needed to run the device.
if you are talking about a cell phone then things to look for are:
the terminals are the + and - exactly the same? is the battery type they same (Ni-Mh for example) if the mAh rating, the terminals and the battery type are the same then you should be fine with no damage to your device).
if the terminals are wrong you could if the power in the battery is sufficient damage your device. if insufficent power and the terminals are correct then the device will not power up or will only power up for a second or two.
batteries will corode if left unused in any device. fire can occure if you try to recharge non rechargeable batteries.
a leak in a battery is first stage in corrosion (aka another name for corrosion when in the early stage).
batteries only drain when there is a connection between the two (+ & -) terminals. that said over long periods of time all batteries will eventually drain in a device or in the packet as new. hence why batteries have a use by date (disposable batteries).
you say the battery looks like it fits fine. thats good but as i said are the terminals the same on the bateries? if yes then use at your own risk if not then no the device will not work with that battery.
There is no “one fits all” solution. Even if Army has worked for you, it doesn’t mean it’ll work for everybody else.For instance, Army would be the worse recommandation you could give to hypersensitive folks, who are paying their exceptionnal creativity with almost perpetual depression. They are invaluable assets to the society if they manage to find the right channels to express themselves. The training of an infantry man seems a wasteful pathway to this kind of personnality.
