I need someone to help me with my BMX?
I have the Eastern Torino 2008 http://www.danscomp.com/101551.php?cat=BIKES . I want to get a Eastern Medusa Lite Forged sprocket http://www.danscomp.com/458190.php . I want to know what else i need to buy to be able to use it and that it does not feel like gear 1 on a mountain bike... thats what I heard from someone. I heard I need like a new hub or something and chain but I'm not entirely sure. Can you tell me what I need to get and that it doesn't cost a hell of a lot of money? Thanks.
sorry but there are only two ways of using the sprocket with a normal gearing and they are both quite costly. one way is buying a whole new back wheel with a 9t cassette cog. the other way is buy a cassette hub with a 9t cog and buy new spokes which are the right length and build your own wheel or take it to a shop so they can do it.
buying a whole new wheel will probably be cheaper and less effort.
Also i would suggest you don't get that sprocket because it came with my Eastern Shovelhead and snapped within the first month of having the bike
