Bmx crank and bottom bracket problem?
I have bought 4 sets of bottom bracket for my eastern ramrodder 2008 bmx bike, every time i install them, they break. i thing this is because my crank spindle has thread on it from the standard way, are my bottom brackets breaking because of the thread on the crank spindle? the bike did come with normal bearings in a cage, i would prefer the stock bearing again, can anybody tell me where i can get me some of them from in the UK, and if the sealed b-b keeps breaking because of the thread

i have been riding BMX for 16 years and have experienced similar problems with loads of different cranksets. when you say threaded spindle do you mean splined?(like a profile) or actually threaded like a bolt? generally if you start crossing crank parts it will cause problema, this is due to the cranks taking most of the pressure. As for getting replacement originals i would suggest, bicycle union,custom riders etc just tap em into google and they will be ther, personally i would say use the union shop as this is solely run by BMXers for BMXers.
