Helmet for MTB riding?
ok so I will be buying a new Trek Fuel EX8 2011 model and i will be needing a helmet to wear while riding it. I have a TEC road bike racing helmet but this will not do. I want a cool/nice looking helmet that is under $100, I don't want a full face helmet, personally i was looking at a pro-tec bmx helmet but im not sure if would look good riding a MTB. anyone got any good ideas?
I live in Victoria, Australia im in the south eastern suburbs of melbourne a couple of k's south of dandenong.
Like others, I'll recommend Giro or Bell. However, a quick search of online shops in Australia didn't find many helmets (I did find many Crocodile Dundee hats). Some online dealers, selling mountain bike clothing, parts and accessories, apparently don't sell helmets. Those I found were brands I'm not familiar with. I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help.
