Look at the options:
There are 36 ways two standard dice can come up [6x6]
And of these 6 only these meet your requirements:
1-1,2-2,3-3,4-4,5-5,6-6
The question is trying to "trick" you into counting 1-1 twice, once for having the same number as well as once for equalling 2. But don't be fooled.
So the answer is 6/36 or 1/6...C

If you role a single fair die and count the number of dots on top?
what is the sample space of all possible outcomes?
The sample space is the set of all possible outcomes; i.e. the set of everything you could get with your event. When rolling a (normal) die, you can get the numbers 1-6. The sample space is therefore {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}.
Unfortunately your hamster is at the end of her life expectancy. It doesn't necessarily mean she is going to die within the week, or even within the month. Just keep doing what you are doing and enjoy her while she is still here.
