Can I Remove Dirt From Behind Digital Camera LCD?
A smidgen of dirt has appeared behind the LCD of my digital camera, which sometimes can move from time to time if finger pressure is applied to the screen.
Although thankfully, it doesn't show on images themselves (therefore not behind the lens), it's still irritating.
Is there any way of perhaps 'blowing' away the dirt, without obviously doing more harm than good?
Many thanks.
Since you can't see whats behind the LCD, I'm guessing you actuallty mean its between the LCD screen and the hard plastic thats placed over it...that's an arse to get out, and short of dissasambling it (which then gets more dust in) you won't get it out. It's irritating, but untill you blow £5000 on a D3 or a 1D you're not going to get the levels of weather sealing to prevent that.
So yes you can remove it, but you'd probably have to take of the back of the camera in a clean room in order to do it. If you use a blower you'll probably just blow the dust around a bit, and same with compressed air. I'm afraid the effort required to remove it is probably not worth it.

Zion I & The Grouch - Digital Dirt (Heroes in the City of Dope) + LYRICS
Should employers be able to use digital dirt against you?
Digital dirt: Stuff you post in the Internet that has no relation to your job. Drunken photos, political or religious beliefs, etc.
Other than outright defaming your place of employment, should your boss be able to fire or reprimand you over this stuff?
It's not hacking, this would all be public information. All they would have to do is use any search engine and type in your name.
It's hard for employers to resist when it's so easy for them to "check on you". Unless you are doing, or promoting something illegal, or doing something detremental that effects your employer......I say hands off. We all have a right to privacy. Period.
