Two bikes, which is best?
Okay found these two bikes on bikesdirect.com. The one has aerobars and the other does not. So assuming I spend $60.00 on aerobars for the one without which is my best option?

honestly, I'm not impressed by either. I'd shop around a bit more. the LBSs will be getting their '09 inventory soon. now is the time to look for a bargain!

Dawes Lightning 1000 Shimano 24 Speed Road Bike?
Is this bike a decent entry level road bike for $390.

They are not bad bikes for the money. You have to assemble and tune the bike yourself which is not hard if you have any mechanical ability. Be sure to get the correct size, you want to look at the standover height more then the height range given. You want to measure you inseam by placing a book up against you crotch while standing with your back agains the wall. Measure from the top of the book to the floor. You want a 1-2 inch clearance over the standover height.
