How can I get rid of dark green algae in my tropical fish tank?
I have a rekord 96 fish tank which stands in my dining room. It has sunlight on it for most of the day. I can't seem to get rid of dark green algae. Can anyone help wiht this problem or are there any techniques. Thanks for all your help.
The tank being in direct sunlight will prob be the main cause so if its possible id move the tank. Have you thought of buying some plecs for your tank? There amazing little things and will eat all the alge in your tank or you could buy a scraper to get it of sides of tank. Also little things like 20% weekly water changes and making sure theres no uneating food in tank should also help.

It's in the Payette family. Marie and Diane says to take dark green vegetables (asparagus, Brussels sprout, cabbage), everything like oranges and avoid milk product with those as they block iron absorption. Molasses is very effective, lots of it. And, red meat, particularly liver, lots of it. Onion would do as well. Bottom line, everything you don't like is good for you.
Marie-Pier would be a good reference to help. Diane says she has iron problem too.
