Emulator detected with Pro Cycling Manager 2009?
I downloaded Pro Cycling Manager 2009, and installed it by mounting the ISO image with Daemon Tools. When i try to run it, it says it detects an emulator. I have already tried Yasu and CureRom but to no avail! HELP!
It's the anti-piracy measures built into the program. If any known CD-ROM emulators are installed (even if you're not using it to run the game) it will give that error.

Is it possible to go from partying teen to cycling pro?
Im currently just 18 years old, i party every week, and like to have a few drinks (6 beers every weekend). I used to compete in Triathlons, and my coach kept telling me I could seriously get somewhere if i had the drive and passion but partying got the best of me. Im seriously considering a cycling career as I have always loved the sport and im pretty good at it, but it this all possible realistically?
THANKS!
Your coach was probably right.
In any sport athleticism is important, but just as important is the "mental game". You can look back in any competition and find the underdog (physically) that took victory from the favorite. In cycling to be successful you need to immerse yourself mentally into the sport.
In your words you say that your are "seriously considering" a cycling career... if you want that career you need "serious commitment". Considering is choosing a pale ale over amber, commitment is working out instead. -- Choose --
Good luck to you.

Dear Rev,
Part of the problem here is the context. Anything can be cloned. That is why we value creativity. The original spark is far more precious than the knock-off. This is not a question of proprietary vs non-proprietary.
Novell is in the position of looking for the most creative software to form a part of Novell Linux Desktop. You have the same power that DELL has when it decides which icons go on the desktop of the computer it is shipping.
If Novell rewards creative software developers rather than cloners by giving creative software a distribution outlet then the public will respond accordingly to the better choices.
Few people seem to understand that the Microsoft GUI is only one of many possible GUIs in the universe. I'm sure that better ones can be developed. The way to see them developed is to recognize genius when it knicks on your door.
As to what code should be proprietary and what should not. Base code should be open source. In other words whatever is necessary to make the next advance. So for example the algorithm for drawing a straight line on a raster display is published. The implementation remains proprietary until such time as the best imlementation is arrived at. Once that happens then it becomes a standard way of doing things. Then the code for the implementation gets published.
Following such a cycle will protect the innovators.

First one isn’t funny and makes no sense out of context, so here is the second: > Usually overly analytical? Are you serious? This shit happens all the time. Like literally every 2 weeks or so, of this magnitude. Take a look at the front page. There is more likely than not something that is at least partially bullshit on there right now. Just how it works. Someone posts bullshit, it gets upvoted, people find out that it’s bullshit, they bitch and whine, and then someone expresses their disappointment. People upvote the disappointment, vow to be less trusting and urge others to do the same, and then in 2 weeks… voila, more bullshit that gets upvoted, most likely by the same people who upvoted the previous bullshit. It’s the fucking reddit cycle. Pro-tip: lower your standards now. It makes things much easier in the long run. I didn’t even look at the post until after 10 hours. By then, someone already debunked the bullshit. Hell, it’s even fun at this point. I try to guess which posts are bullshit preemptively and treat it as a game. I’m getting pretty good.
