Caliper Brake
Do I need to reset the brake caliper if I replace the rotor?
I'm replacing the front passenger side brake rotor and want to know if I will need to reset the brake caliper afterwards (like when you replace the brake pads and you have to reset the caliper). Or can I just take the caliper off, replace the rotor, and then put the caliper back?
IF YOU CAN FIT A ROTOR IN, THEN U DONT HAVE TO. BUT MOST OF THE TIME, CAUSE NEW ROTORS ARE WIDER, YOU HAVE TO SQUEEZE THE CALIPER...

Today, most automobiles exude powerful engine capacity as the demand for speed and dynamic performance continues to rise. For most automobile manufacturers, the game is all about horsepower. The Acura brake caliper would be a fine example. It operates just like a small hydraulic clamp designed to grip the brake rotor that brings your car to a halt. It is typically follows a U-shape design with a piston or pistons on one or both sides of the U assembly. The brake pads ride on top of the brake caliper pistons while the rotor spins in the channel of the U. When one hits the brakes, high-pressure fluid is transferred from the master cylinder down to the brake caliper where it exerts inward pressure against the piston or pistons. The Acura brake caliper action moves the pads against the spinning brake rotor, and the resulting friction stops the vehicle.
