BMX Chain sizes matter with any sprocket?
Yeah I dont really know alot out BMX parts but does It matter If I buy this BMX chain that I like and buy whatever sprocket I want or do they have to be certain sizes and certain sizes with the frame etc. coz I don't know at all.. Please send some basic answers If you know what Im talkin about..?. Much respect!
You don't have to worry about anything here at all really. All chains fit all sprockets, before you buy them I would count the teeth on your front chain wheel, then count the teeth on the sprocket you want to buy. Ask the sales clerk where you are buying them from to make sure you have a chain that is long enough.
If you are fitting the rear sprocket and chain yourself you will have to buy yourself a link remover to be able to shorten the chain to the correct length, although it may be worth while with the price of tools (and you don't use a link remover very often) to get the shop to fit them for you if poss.

what parts can i replace on my bmx bike to make it lighter weightwise?
i bought an Eastern Ramrodder from craigslist and its a nice older bike but its a little to heavy to do tricks on. Any tips on what parts to replace? I dont really have that much money so should I buy the cheapest partsa from danscomp or are those heavy parts?
I would say save up some money and buy a full cromo bike off danscomp
but if you want to upgrade your Eastern good ways to save weight are to
cut seat tube, cut steertube, cut axles, get light tubes and tires, take off brakes,
those are just a few of the cheaper ways to save some weight.
