Brake Blue

OK i have a Gary Fisher Mullet 2006 Blue with a big front disk brake and i think its bent how can i fix it?
And is the model of this bike good??
thank you
If you mean that the rotor is bent, then you can tweak it true again if it isn't too bad. They make some rotor truing tools which slide over the rotor and are used like levers, but you can do pretty much the same thing with a couple of 4" or 6" crescent wrenches. Watch the rotor spin at the pads and carefully mark the places where it's not straight, then use your levers to lightly bend it in the direction it needs to go. Most of the time this is a simple job and if you do it carefully you'll end up with a good, true rotor. If it's really bent or dinged up, someone with experience can *sometimes* get it fixed well, but it may be easier to buy a new rotor instead. Just work slowly so you don't make it worse, and give it a try.
You can visit www.parktools.com and check out their Repair Help section for a decent tutorial with some pics on how to do it. Good luck!

The Passat Bluemotion Debut at the 77th Geneva Motor Show
Volkswagen will present at the 77th Geneva Motor Show one of its most economical mid-class cars of all time—the Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion.
The Passat BlueMotion is powered by a TDI engine rated at 77 kW/105 PS with a remarkable fuel economy consuming only approximately 5.5 liters for both its class of sedan and Variant. The Passat BlueMotion is also scheduled to debut in Europe specifically in Berlin unfortunately VW CEO Winterkorn has scrapped its scheduled preview.
Features of the Passat BlueMotion:
• CO2 emissions reduced – the Passat boasts of its CO2 emission of 15g/km for the sedan and 19 g/km for the Variant. The total emissions of 136 g/km and 137 g/km for the Variant are proofs of the pioneering potential of the Volkswagen TDI engines. There is also the addition of a particulate filter which is integrated in the emissions control systems which are offered as standard equipment.
• The additional 5 km/h top speed – who would ever think that fuel economy plus CO2, will result to additional 5 km/h speed? The aerodynamic refinements and longer gearing have increased its top speed. The sedan tops out at 193 km/h while the Variant reaches 190 km/h.
• Passat BlueMotion is very economical – the Passat BlueMotion is not only environmentally friendly but also very economical. At an average annual driving distance of 15,000 km, the fuel cost consumed per month is only 68 Euros which is the result of car’s outstanding fuel economy. Both the sedan and the Variant possess theoretical ranges of about 1,350 on a single tank of fuel which translates to approximately eleven fill ups per year at 15,000 km.
• Passat’s Aerodynamic – the remarkable fuel economy and emission values obtained by the Passat BlueMotion is made possible through the continuous fine tuning of the drivetrain, car body, and chassis. In terms of aerodynamics the radiator grille trim was altered while the underbody was skirted. The modifications done on the Passat have boosted its air resistance values by 12.2 percent for the sedan while 0.617 and 0.629 for the Variant.
• Lower chassis optimizes air resistance – couple of modifications has been done to the chassis and if you are to carefully examine the Passat BlueMotion you will notice that its wheel housings are somewhat lower than the base version. The rationale behind the design is to improve its aerodynamics. The Passat is lowered by 15 millimeters in the front and eight millimeters in the rear. The high-tech tires sized 205/55 R16 91H that it possessed provide the lowest possible rolling resistance. The tire pressure was also increased by 0.4 bar in part-load operation.
• Innovative engine guide drivers in gear selection – the 1.9 TDI of the Passat BlueMotion revs up a maximum torque of 250Nm at 1,900 rpm. It achieves fuel efficiency by tuning a wide variety of parameters on the four-cylinder, direct-injection turbo diesel engine. An alteration was also done to the software of the engine controller which enables engineers to lower idling speed, for instance. Likewise, the TDI’s engine control also provides a gear recommendation to the Multifunctional Display Plus guiding the driver on which gear to choose at any given time.
BlueMotion Not Just a Vehicle Name
It was in the summer of 2006 when Volkswagen—Europe’s largest automaker and producer of VW brake hoses --- presented its first model under the new BlueMotion label---the Polo BlueMotion. It produces 59 kW/80 PS and has a fuel consumption of 3.9 liters diesel per 100 kilometers. Its CO2 emission is also low at 102 g/km. the BlueMotion does not only refer to the automobile but applies to the entire Volkswagen brand. The “Blue” stands for Volkswagen’s corporate color and for elements such as water and air while the “Motion” embodies forward-looking mobility directed toward the future. The BlueMotion is evolving to become a quality seal that will embody economy plus fun driving.

Hey Cowboys!
I love horses — but some of them have been pretty hard on me. I'm not sure that are all that stupid. I took riding lessons when I was a Girl Scout (our troop was an equestrian troop), and my friends and I would go riding quite a bit. Girl Scouts was 40 years ago, but I still like to ride occasionally.
Once a horse kicked me in the thigh while I was trying to remount him while on the trail. I got an ugly bruise about 6″ in diameter from him. My mistake was that I dismounted him while on the trail. That was considered a no-no and I knew better.
For many horses the ride back to the barn is their chance to have some fun. It's their “Miller Time!” They start thinking about having that saddle off them and kicking back and enjoying some good grub, some fresh water, and getting this ash-hole off their back! In the process some of them get a little carried away. One of my friends had a horse that would run her into the side of the barn if she did not control her complelely on the return ride.
Another time I was riding a friend's horse bareback with no reigns — just for fun (and stupid). The horse had his mane trimmed so I had nothing to hold on to — and he knew I was vulnerable. He took me for a great little ride and then stopped suddenly and dropped his head so I would fly over the top of him. I'm lucky I didn't break my back or my neck.
Another time I was riding an old barrel racer. She was blind in one eye and I should have known better. She was sweet, but she took me around a corner too close and I ran my knee right into the side of an old truck parked near the barn. I dented the chrome frame on the headlamp of an old 1949 Chevy. Do you know how tough the chrome on an old car like that was? Again — I was lucky that I didn't break any bones!
I've been bitten several times and stomped on too, but the most fearful ride I ever took was about ten years ago in Bandera, Texas. The horse's name was “Diablo.” Duh? I should have known better — huh? He was young and full of himself. He loved riding in a full gallop — and I enjoyed the fast pace — but he didn't like slowing down or stopping. A group of us rode for several hours, and I have to say that by the time we got back to the barn I was exhausted from trying to control him. I heard that Bandera, Texas produces more rodeo cowboys than any other region. If they have horses like Diablo, I'll bet those cowboys get some good training!
I've never punched a horse. I guess I prefer trying the Rogerian-I'll-be-kind-and-caring-of-you-and-hope-you-will-reciprocate method, but obviously that has not always worked out for me. Who is stupid?
My daughter's dressage instructor used to punch her horses in the mouth all the time if they acted up while her students were riding them.
