Wheels/Rims bmx bike?
can you explain the advantages and disadvantages of buying just the wheel vs the rim and then building it. do you save money?
also tell me general knowledge on bmx rims/wheels and where to get purple wheels that are not expensive. I checked danscomp, and the only purple ones are the wheels that are like $300 + for both which is too much.
and can you give me knowledge on colored tuff mags, do they work on any regular bmx bike.

Buying complete wheels is cheaper than building your own. BUT, I would always recommend building your own wheels if you can. I'm all about custom things and having things just how I want them, especially when it's a part of my bike! So I'm ALLL 100% for custom wheel building. Rims come in all different widths, wall heights (braking surface of the rim), hole counts, strengths, weights, etc... BMX wheels are mostly double-wall. People these days usually go with double-wall rims because they are generally lighter than triple-wall rims. BUT, triple-wall rims are stronger. Spokes are GENERALLY the same but colored spokes are supposedly weaker than polished spokes. I use colored spokes because they add flavor to my bike and are very cheap to replace if one or two break here or there. But on my mountainbikes i always use polished spokes as the wheels are MUCH more prone to flex. Some spokes come in double-butted and triple-butted options in order to shed weight and stuff but you can't really go wrong with any spokes that I know of. I just look for the thickest guage (generally stronger). BTW, bigger guage=smaller guage number... ex: 13g is fatter then 14g. Most BMX hubs are pretty damn good these days. When I choose hubs, I look for hole count (spoke count), how many engagement pawls there are (I like my engagement TIGHT), i check to see if they have the cog size i need for my drivetrain, I check to make sure the hub has 14mm axles (I don't mess with 3/8 WAY TOO THIN), and lastly, COLOR. Front hubs are generally the same IMO, I just look for color, weight, spoke count, axle size i need and im good to go. I would steer clear of freecoaster hubs as I've only heard terrible things about them. supposedly they are very fragile and high maintainance. I hoped this helped you out buddy!

Tignes in the Val d'Isere area of the French Alps is reckoned be one of the premier snowboard resorts ; last year the Observer mag actually named it top snowboard resort in the world. Because Tignes is a component of the massive L'Espace Killy you are assured never to run out of terrain, which makes it a favored return destination. The resort itself is classic Alpine French, with a good dose of cool.
Morzine - again in the Alps but in Les Portes de Soleil region - is at present buzzing among snowboarders in the know. With great access to Avoriaz, it has high spec snow parks, few drag lifts, trails for riders of all abilities and endless opportunities to board off-piste. The resort of Morzine is a busy market town so there's lots going on away from the slopes.
