bmx bike help please.?

I was thinking about buying a bmx bike. Im the kind of pearson that just likes to mess around on the bikes. so far i have had a hoffman bike and its way to heavy. after that i got one of those thin tired light weight redline racing bikes because there is a racetrack over here. but when i got it i realized that i couldnt do as much street tricks without damaging the rims. unfortunately about a week ago that bike was stolen. i was watching videos on youtube and i noticed people with bikes that had nobby tires and pegs on them. they were going on the dirt tracks and riding there bikes hard on the streets. i also noticed that there handle bars didnt go all the way around which i actually like and the bike only had a rear brake. does anyone know a brand of a "on and offroad bike" that is some what light weight???
Thanks

Haro bikes are about the worst bike you can ever get. Just because Dave Mirra was sponsered by them doesn't make it good, in fact he threw that sponsership out the door knowing full well their bikes suck. Look in to getting an "Eastern", the 2008 Ace of spades model isn't too heavy. Hoffmans are ALWAYS heavy, as are Haros (Home would know that if he had any common sense or riding experience). To keep a bike light, make sure to customize a few parts, such as your crank/gear ratio (25/10 is the best), fork, and frame. But to be honest you don't need a light bike, just one with good parts that isn't overly heavy...

If you don't want the bars to swing around (Why I have no idea), just lose the gyro, and connect your brakes regularly. If you didn't have a gyro to begin with, you might want to try it as it gives you freedom, and barspins, bus drivers, etc. are a lot of fun. Additionally, you lose the ability to do the above, along with X-Ups, whiplashes, tailwhips, and so much more. Believe me, if you want to learn BMX, you want a gyro...or no brakes.

Last, directed to HOME: Don't answer a question concerning BMX if your an NR, you only make yourself appear ignorant. If your too dumb to answer a typical question concerning BMX, move on to wood pushing, or fruit booting. Only a complete idiot would suggest a Haro. Their top bike costs about $700.00, what does that tell you?

PS: Here is a list of GOOD companies to buy parts off of:

Eastern
Pr1mo
Profile
Standard
Poverty

There are more, just go to a BMX forum and ask around.

10 Sweet Razor Scooter Tricks for You

The razor scooter is no different than skateboards, BMX bikes, etc. There are lots of great tricks you can learn, some more extreme than others, of course. In this article, I am going to tell you how to do several different tricks with step by step instructions. There is one main thing you should probably keep in mind as you go through the process of learning these tricks. Getting the mechanics of the trick down is just a matter of coordination and practice. But if you’re like me, you are going to want to show your stuff and that means being so smooth that you make the trick look completely effortless.

I also recommend you tackle one trick at a time with your razor scooter, and practice it until you’ve at least mastered the basics. So what I suggest is that you read over some of the tricks I list below and choose one to start practicing on. Maybe you recognize one or more of these tricks from seeing others do them and you want to be able to match your friends. Or maybe you want to learn some new tricks and surprise everyone at the skate park with your radical new skills.

Some say the best way to learn is by watching others. If that is you, then I guess you can just take your razor scooter to the skate park and watch people there, or you could ask a friend to show you a particular trick. One great avenue for visual learners is to do a search for the name of the trick on YouTube, because you can watch the video over and over as much as you want. Then again, it is not very convenient because you have to run outside to attempt the moves you just watched on video.

People talk about “launching” and “landing” when it comes to practicing razor scooter tricks. So just let me say the most important thing about launching is to be sure you are ready in terms of focus and the practice setting. If anything feels “not right” about the approach, then forget it and start the practice routine over. As for the landing, you should concentrate on how you are going to make contact with the ground so that you immediately resume the same in-motion action you had just prior to the launch. That means having lots of control, so your body is going to have to be centered and your knees will have to be bent to absorb the impact.

One last thing before I list a few razor scooter tricks. Let us be real. You are going to fall down a lot. So be smart and always remember to wear protective gear. Always wear a helmet and pads.
