Black Finish how to do a black antique finish on furniture?
How do I go about achieving that black rubbed/antiqued look on a previously unpainted dresser. Do I use a stain or paint. I want the edges to look rubbed off or roughed up a bit. I don't think I want it jet black, just very dark it almost looks black. The look I have in mind is inspired by pottery barn and hobby lobby. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Never use dishsoap on car paint. It's for dishes, it will strip all the wax off and could damage the paint. Wash with car soap and use a very soft and CLEAN wash mitt. ( I throw my in the washing machine often). Use a good car wax. and wax three to four times a year.
