Bike Old
Is it worth it to repair/tune-up an old bike vs. buying a more expensive one?
The thing is I am purchasing a 15 year old bike and plan to tune-up and clean it up. The seller says the bike was barely used and kept inside for the weather. My friend is offering to clean and replace everything for me for $20. So is this worth it, or is a15 year old bike really too old?
It really depends on the bike and how much you paid for it. You have a very good friend that will replace everything for $20 but it really depends on what you need to replace. Anything more then tires and tubes may not be worth it. Again it depends on the bike.
