HI, Does any one know where i can get a full wheel setup for my bike with a 9 tooth freewheel/cassette?
Hi, does any one know where i can get a full wheel setup for my bmx bike with a 9 tooth cassete ? it has to be 3/8 axel, preferably 48 spoke but doesnt have to be, and under 100 dollars. Thanks!
Hmmm... Under $100 I think the eastern niner is $80 at www.danscomp.com but the rim it is laced to is a single wall. There is also the eastern 2-9er that is laced to a double wall rim for $95

How to change the freewheel on my bike?
i have a 05 diamondback.. how do i get the freewheel off. is there a special tool to put in the two slots inside the freewheel to take it off... or should i just buy a new one?? what kind would i need for a new one? what will fit? its a 14mm axle

Yes it takes a special tool to remove your freewheel.
buy one from performance bike for about 6.99, http://www.performancebike.com/you can also buy them at Nashbar http://www.nashbar.com/index.cfm or most any bike shop for about the same price, really a simple procedure to remove.
your looking at a single speed bike with a double sided hub (flip flop) meaning you can choose whether to ride fixed or free
there are two types of single speed
1st, a fixed cog means that the cog/sprocket is directly attached to the rear wheel, meaning if the wheel is moving the cranks are moving, so you are continuously pedaling
2 a single gear bike has a freewheel/cassette with 1 cog/sprocket, when you pedal the freewheel/cassette engages and drives the rear wheel, but unlike a fixed gear you can coast, which basically means the wheels continue to move but you dont have to pedal
and the 16t and 18t are just the size of cog/sprocket
16 is the number and t=teeth, a 16 tooth sprocket
the lower the number of teeth on the back the higher the gear
