Indianapolis Real Estate: College Grads, You Can Get Your Piece of the American Dream Sooner Than You Think!
Think you have to wait until your late twenties or early thirties to own a home? Are you still renting even though you've graduated more than four years ago? Listen, I know times are tough but there are so many homes out there that you can buy for less than what you're paying in rent. I'm not talking about old rundown homes Podunk, America. I'm talking about fixer-uppers in urban Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Real Estate Market is overflowing with cheap homes that need to be sold fast.
A quick search of "homes for sale in Indianapolis" on Yahoo brought me to the website of a real estate agent. I selected the cheapest field range in home pricing that was available and up popped this white colonial. It is 936 square feet with three bedrooms, one bath, and a one-car garage. It was built in 1963 and it has a fenced in yard. It looks well-maintained and even has a screened in porch. Not all cheap homes in the Indianapolis Real Estate Market are fixer-uppers!
I bet you can't even guess how much this home is going for. If you said $80,000 you'd be too high. If you even said $70,000 you'd be too high. This home is listed at $69,975 and is located in Indianapolis. It's perfect for a bachelor, a young couple, or even a young family. Even college students could be happy and comfortable in a pad like this. I'm telling ya', the Indianapolis Real Estate Market has a lot to offer if you know what to look for.
What an investment this would be for a recent college grad. Buy it, live in it for a couple of years, then either sell it at a substantial profit, (because home values can only go up from here), or rent it out and have a solid monthly income stream. If you can't get the financing for it, speak with your folks and see if they'll back you. Sell them like I'm selling you now! Tell them about the real estate market in Indianapolis and show them all of the spectacular deals there are.
With a city like Indianapolis you can't lose. It's home of the Indianapolis Speedway and major businesses. It's the 12th largest city in America, which is an accomplishment in and of itself. Right now is the best time to take advantage of the Indianapolis Real Estate Market.
Being a recent college grad myself, I'm definitely searching the Indianapolis Real Estate Market for a home. The one I was describing above is perfect for practically anyone and any family.
With an ever-growing number of foreclosures and bank repossessions, the banks can't give the homes away fast enough. That's why the Indianapolis Real Estate Market is literally over-flowing with affordable homes. So if you're lucky enough to be employed in a stable position, see what kind of home you can get on your budget. I think you'd be surprised to see what a recent college grad can afford.
